Seahawks drop road contest at Panola

CARTHAGE, Texas – Guard Christian Andrews had a team-high 15 points, but the Lamar State College Port Arthur Seahawks dropped an 82-68 decision to the host Panola College Dragons in a Region XIV men's basketball game Wednesday night.
 
Zion Young scored 14 points, while Jaylon Johnson added 10 points for the short-handed Seahawks (11-12 overall, 5-10 Region XIV), who were down to seven players due to injuries.
 
Lamar State trailed 40-27at intermission. Tait Spencer led Panola (13-10, 9-6) with 16 points. Panola led 40-27 at intermission.
 
The Seahawks return home to host Tyler Junior College at 4 p.m. Saturday in the Carl A. Parker Multipurpose Center in a Valentine's Day matchup. LSCPA looks to avenge an 85-75 loss at Tyler on Dec. 13.
